Sparse Days - Week 4

- Early character design/concept
This week, I don't really have much to report. It was a relatively slow week. The only applicable thing that I ended up making was a character concept, seen below. Since I was going for a rather minimalist style for the environment, I was going to go for a minimal style for the character, too.
The design is relatively simple - two colours, noticable hair and a scarf. The idea for this character was that when teleporting, it wouldn't be the player that does the damage, but the scarf itself. This would also allow me to do some interesting visuals, but there are technological challenges when it comes to making the scarf work.
If I were to add the scarf, I would need to create a separate piece, probably a model, and have it by physically simulated in the UE4 world to give it the proper feel of a scarf. Animating it individually would most likely be too time consuming to be worth it, and may not look correct in the final version.
